Herman Stone

  • Positions ranging from hands-on plant operations to Vice President of an effective organization serving the fossil utility industry in training and engineering services
  • Conducted assessments for more than eight power industry organizations
  • Managed many successful power plant training and documentation projects

MICHAEL MCCLINTOCK - VICE PRESIDENT

Michael McClintock

35+ years power industry experience:

  • Turbine-generator operations, maintenance, and controls
  • Plant thermal performance and application of advanced computer tools to solve plant problems 

Current activities focus on:

  • Power plant operations and development of training programs
  • Gas turbine and combined cycle plant acceptance tests including development & review of test procedures/ protocols, managing/witnessing testing, developing software/spreadsheets to calculate test results and troubleshooting problems
  • Thermal performance improvement programs including use of advanced computer tools
  • Classroom instruction especially in turbine-generators and thermal performance 

Experience:

  • Managed large power plant training and documentation projects for utilities and IPPs 
  • Developed thermal improvement programs, test procedures, and specialized software for thermal performance applications
  • Managed the development and implementation of computer applications for monitoring power plant thermal performance, including some based on artificial intelligence in the form of expert systems
  • Ten years Experience with General Electric; served as Lead Turbine
  • Generator Erector, Startup Engineer, and Factory Engineer
  • One year with Pratt & Whitney as a Design Engineer

Professional Education and Licenses:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Aeronautical & Aerospace Engineering
  • Professional Engineers License, Maryland 
  • GE's Advanced Startup Engineer's Program

SCOTT HOMMELL - VICE PRESIDENT

Michael McClintock

Scott has over 20 years of power plant and electrical transmission & distribution related experience and including more than 17 years of training experience. This includes over 10 years in the Navy Nuclear Power Program as both an operator and a trainer, and over 10 years as a training consultant in the electrical power generation, transmission and distribution field. Scott's power industry experience is complemented by  two years as a training consultant in the fiber optic telecommunications field. Scott has experience in all facets of training curriculum design, development, and implementation for all types of training topics in various formats, including paper-based materials and Computer-Based Training (CBT).  As a classroom instructor, Scott has presented a numerous courses for operations, maintenance and supervision, totaling thousands of hours of classroom presentation time. Scott has a Bachelors Degree in Electronics.
