FCS E-Learning experts have years of experience developing SCORM compliant Computer Based Training (CBT) content with the following features:
FCS typically uses the Articulate® E-Learning software authoring system but would be happy to discuss using another tool if desired to facilitate maintenance of the developed content.
At FCS, we place great emphasis on the design phase of development. For over 30 years, we have found that the steps taken here enable us to develop an e-Learning solution that works and works well. The first step in the CBT development process is creating a Functional Design Specification (FDS) that will act as a guide for CBT system development.
Prior to full scale CBT development, FCS develops and submits for review the CBT system Functional Design Specification (FDS).
Upon completion of the Functional Design Specification (FDS), a thorough review will be conducted with management to ensure that both FCS and our customer understand the expectations of the final system. Any changes to the FDS will be incorporated and resubmitted for review and approval. The approved FDS will serve as the Plan for the full-scale development process of the CBT.
Next, FCS develops a pilot module of the CBT system according to the approved FDS. The purpose of the pilot is to establish the look, feel and functionality of the final CBT system. The pilot will contain one module or portion of the desired training.
After the pilot has been installed, tested, and approved, FCS develops the remainder of the CBT modules. The same process is then carried out for the remaining modules.
As the CBT modules are developed, they may be loaded onto a Learning Management System (LMS) or hosted by FCS.
