The LOTO program is one of the biggest lynchpins in keeping your site safe and sending everyone home to their family each day.

Every FCS technical employee has firsthand experience in developing LOTOs and performing work under those LOTOs. If your site’s LOTO program is not where it should be, FCS can evaluate and identify the gaps in your process. Once gaps are identified, we can recommend the fastest, safest methods to proceed. FCS can even develop LOTO layouts for common equipment isolations. These layouts can be formatted for easy upload into all common LOTO software. Once approved, your team can hang tags, knowing the LOTO will keep them safe.

If your site is lacking appropriate valve, breaker, or equipment tagging, FCS can help. We have performed complete tagging services of multiple power plants. We can update your P&IDs to reflect the current “as built” condition and develop a labelling spreadsheet. Once approved, we will update your P&IDs with the approved tags, create metal tags, and even hang them for you. This will further enhance the effectiveness of your LOTO program, giving you another level of assurance that your tagging program works.

Our employees have also led training to integrate the most popular LOTO programs on the market. While some vendors offer computer-based training (CBT) to train their software, FCS brings our people to your site. While on-site, our instructors break training into both a classroom session and a hands-on session. During the hands-on session, our trainers use your actual equipment to lead LOTO training sessions. This ensures understanding and retention of the LOTO process. Doing so produces technicians who can be trusted to safely perform work the same day.
